Notification Policy

We built TortaPatrol's notification system around one rule: favoriting a truck should always feel useful, never spammy. Here's exactly how it works.

Rate Limits

• 30-minute cooldown: a truck cannot trigger more than one notification per 30 minutes, even if it goes live and offline repeatedly.
• 2-per-day cap: each truck can send a maximum of 2 notifications per calendar day to any given customer, regardless of how many times it goes live.

Opt-In Only

Customers only receive notifications for trucks they have explicitly favorited, and only if their notification preferences are turned on. You can disable notifications entirely, or per-truck, from your account settings at any time.

What Triggers a Notification

Notifications are sent only when a favorited truck goes live within your set radius. We do not send promotional notifications, third-party ads, or unrelated marketing through this channel.
